File consists of the catalogue for an exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery devoted to Fleming's work curated by Alvin Balkind, designed to look like a set of typesetting galley proofs. The document is accompanied by its yellow tissue paper cover marked, "1st revise -- rush." File consists of Waddington's inventory of his estate, December 1980, correspondence with Prudence Tracy regarding an opportunity to purchase items from the estate, and a photographic portrait of Fleming.

File consists of a black-and-white photographic print taken by Peter Croydon of Fleming standing in his studio, and a colour print made by Cavouk Portrait Studio showing Fleming smoking a pipe while working on a design.

Allan R. Fleming Memorial Fund

File consists of draft correspondence, stationery, and mailing lists for an attempt to set up a memorial fund to commemorate Allan Fleming and his work following his death. The project involved Nancy and Martha Fleming, Prudence Tracy, John Gibson (Graphic Designers of Canada), and Paul Fleck (President of the Ontario College of Art).

Fonds consists of correspondence, brochures, clippings from newspapers and magazines, curriculum vitae, reports, original artwork, photographs (black and white prints and colour transparencies), financial records, speeches, exhibit catalogues, typographical research files, audio recordings, appointment diaries, awards, and design objects created or accumulated by Allan Fleming during his career as a graphic designer, teacher, and administrator. Topics of these records include: previous generations of his family in Scotland; his secondary school education; his years in England working with English typographers; his marriage to Nancy Chisholm; their relationship with Richard Outram and Barbara Howard; work at Cooper & Beatty Ltd., MacLaren Advertising, University of Toronto Press and other firms; the work of typographers such as Eric Gill and Carl Dair; Fleming's work for a wide variety of corporate clients (including Ontario Hydro, Trent University, the Hudson's Bay Company, Gray Coach, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian National Railway, Massey College, and the City of Toronto); television scripts; book and stamp design; his involvement in design juries; exhibitions of his work; book collecting; his declining health after a heart attack in 1971; and his death in 1978.

Alma Duncan : correspondence

File consists of nine letters from Duncan regarding Allan Fleming's purchase of her drawing in 1969, her exhibit with Avrom Isaacs in 1968, her efforts to make prints using a clothes wringer, Fleming's stamp design in 1973, her trip to the Arctic and work on floral stamp designs for Canada Post in 1976, and concerns about his health later that year.

Ancient Coin Society of Canada

File consists of correspondence with the society and issues of its journal, "Cornucopiae," possibly in connection to Allan Fleming's work on the Olympic coin competition.

Canada : a year of the land

File consists of correspondence with Lorraine Monk and other officials of the National Film Board regarding the contract to design this book, with printers regarding its production, and with Peter C. Newman regarding his comments on Allan Fleming's design. File also includes newspaper articles about the book, and about "Canada," a similar book published by the National Film Board in 1974.

File consists of letters from Postmasters General regarding Allan Fleming's appointment to the Canada Post Office Design Advisory Committee in 1969 and his resignation in 1971, from the Chief of the Postage Stamp Division regarding committee activities and commissions for new stamps, and suggestions from photographer John de Visser regarding stamp design.
