Bikerak has won two international design awards in 1993; Canada's Virtu 7 Award for product design and Germany's Industrie Forum Design Hannover for product quality and design innovation. Bikerak is an ideal space saving device for the urban bike enthusiast and provides a simple and elegant alternative to using a nail or hook to put away your bicycle. The fully retractable wall rack is made of solid steel electrostatically painted and covered with soft rubber at contact points. The "V" shape hook design adapts to any frame size while its pivoting support arm keeps the bicycle at a perfect distance from the wall to allow maintenance work or cleaning. When not in use, it can be retracted towards the wall, clearing the way. Over 10,000 units have been sold to this date.
