Fonds consists of photographs, news clippings, promotional material, posters, video recordings and documentation related to the political, social and cultural activities of George Papadatos, a Greek citizen who lived in exile in Toronto during the military junta of 1967-1974. Includes materials documenting the coffee house scene on the Danforth, Greek musical acts who toured Canada and the United States in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as student organizing and protests related to local opposition to the military dictatorship in Greece. Also includes photographic material from Papadatos' later life in Greece, where he operated a antiquarian bookstore.
