File consists of correspondence exchanged between Bernice Lever and Margaret Laurence regarding a 24 Nov. 1974 interview conducted by Lever with Laurence and the editing of the interview transcript, later published in literary journals Waves and Alive. Included is the interview transcript annotated with edit notes by Laurence as well as Lever's interview questions, correspondence from editors of Alive and the Journal of Canadian Fiction, character maps and lists made by Lever pertaining to Laurence's novels, and a selection of correspondence and ephemera pertaining to Lever's time as a student at York University, including a copy of an essay critique by her instructor, Barry Callaghan.
File consists of items accumulated by Bernice Lever pertaining to Waves, including newspaper articles, a Waves Literary Tri-Annual poster featuring illustrations of prominent Canadian poets/writers, an invitation to the Waves 10-year anniversary in 1981, a letter from Toronto Life poetry editor Mary di Michele, a program for a Waves poetry reading at Stong College, a Harbourfront literary reading notice, a Canadian Periodical Publishers' Association brochure featuring Waves and other Canadian literary journals, and a copy of "I Side Up: introduced by Irving Layton" (1971).
