"Trip envelopes" were packages that often included a mixture of records for projects of Kanchar, CABAG and Simpson's other consulting firm, Salasan. They contain letters, notes, and a set of photographs of pre-fabricated housing under construction in Kenya. Other types of records in the series include correspondence, memoranda, reports, clippings, articles, newsletters, studies, resumes, promotional and profile material on Kanchar, speeches, legal documents, meeting notes, surveys, financial statements, conference materials, seminars, and an oral history transcript of an interview with Simpson at UWO as an example of a model international business/cultural leader.

Many sketches in this series were likely used in the creation of Greer Allen's figurative raku pottery and sculpture.

In the series, Ben Wicks interviews famous people, politicians and people with unique jobs. Each episode contains drawing lessons from Ben Wicks and two, two minute commercial breaks with a black screen. The interviews were conducted over several years in the mid to late nineteen seventies. The series also contains videocassettes for several of Wicks’s literacy projects, a recorded speech he made at an award function, and a brief recording of Mila Mulroney discussing the success of the Canadian Children’s Fund fundraising campaign and book, “Dear World.”

Series consists of records created and accumulated by Silverman as a result of field research conducted in Ecuador in 1978, part of her first sabbatical project as a professor at York University, to investigate class formation and economic differentiation amongst banana producers in coastal Ecuador. These records document the early stages of a long-term research project and provide a broad overview of production in Ecuador’s banana export sector in the 1960s and 1970s. These records are primarily government documents and Silverman’s field notes, worksheets and coding forms. Included are Ministry of Agriculture statistics about banana producers, including their names, locations, hectarages and quantity of exports, as well as agricultural census materials from 1954, 1968 and 1976, a list of banana co-operatives in Ecuador, and correspondence and other documents pertaining to the Coop Paraiso banana co-operative.
