Contents of the disc include an essay written by Swan about her novel The Wives of Bath, a memorandum from York University regarding a reduction in Swan's teaching load for 2003-2004, and a table of corrections pertaining to one of Swan's pieces of writing. Not all files on this disc are retrievable. Paper copies of accessible documents are also in the file.

Talks on "The Western Light"

File pertains to speaking engagements by Swan pertaining to the promotion of The Western Light in 2012 and 2013, as well as her talk at a tribute for Constance Rooke and her participation at a Mar. 2015 Trampoline Hall event. Included in the file are her speaking notes and lectures, e-mail, excerpts from the book, and research materials.

File also includes e-mail exchanged with one of Swan's students, Emiko Hsuen, pertaining to Swan's questions about Japanese culture for this story, e-mail regarding research about the Chelsea Hotel, a copy of a paper entitled "Thomas Wolfe's German girlfriend: some further thoughts on Thea Voelcker" by Lawrence D. Stokes, and Thomas Wolfe Society publications entitled "Thomas Wolfe's friendship with Henry Volkening: the documents" and "The proceedings and membership list of the Thomas Wolfe Society: the twenty-seventh annual meeting, Portland, Maine, May 27-29, 2005".
