Accession consists of records documenting Leo Panitch's scholarly work and academic career. These records include research materials, notes, correspondence, speaking notes, draft articles, essays and other manuscripts, and conference materials pertaining to Panitch's work from the 1970s to the early 2000s, including preliminary writing and research for The Making of Global Capitalism. Also included are correspondence, manuscripts and other material pertaining to his tenure as editor of the Socialist Register, as well as notes and papers written during his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba, notes and examinations from his graduate coursework at the London School of Economics (LSE), and research materials and correspondence relating to his PhD dissertation, also at the LSE. Accession consists of printed copies of the business email correspondence of M.G. Vassanji. Some correspondence pertains to literary submissions and other administrative matters concerning the operations of TSAR Publications (including correspondence sent and received by Nurjehan Aziz), while the majority of correspondence pertains to Vassanji’s own literary career. Also included in this accession is assorted memorabilia about Vassanji’s career as a writer and awards received, including the Order of Canada and the Giller Prize. These records include newspaper and magazine articles about Vassanji; articles written by Vassanji and published in journals, magazines and newspapers; event programs, notices, flyers and menus; award certificates; and posters.

Accrual to the Carol Malyon fonds

Accession consists of correspondence by Carol Malyon to David Peacock and Elke Inkster of Porcupine's Quill regarding her proposal for the book, Mixed-up Grandmas, Malyon's manuscript for the text, a mock-up of the book and preliminary sketches by Peacock, and illustrations in ink and acrylic paint on board with tissue overlay that were created by Peacock for use in producing the book.

Accession consists of Linda Briskin's files as the first coordinator of the York University Faculty Association (YUFA)'s Standing Committee on Equity. The files include correspondence, reports, articles by Professor Briskin, and various publications dealing with the struggle of women faculty to win equity with their male colleagues, particularly in terms of salary, as well as sexual and co-worker harassment, the Coalition of Union Women at York, the YUFA strike of 1997 and the strike by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Unit 3 in 2000, the Ontario Council of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA), the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT), and her work with unions at the universities of Windsor, Waterloo, and Queen's.

Accession consists of a typescript manuscript, "Geographical Guide to Ontario," written by John Warkentin from the late 1980s to 1991, preceded by a summary of the project prepared by Professor Warkentin in March 2023. The manuscript is an impressionistic description of the province based on his field observations, emphasizing physical, urban, and rural landscapes of Ontario, its economic infrastructure, and interrelationships. The manuscript consists of 1,100 pages with 278 maps and 41 tables.
