Robert Taylor : correspondence and papers 1875-1883

File consists of correspondence to Miss. Annie Hill and later Mrs. [Robert] Taylor. Letter content describes conditions of Winnipeg in the late 1800s, such as the weather, business, price of bread, real estate and journey to Winnipeg, as well the prospects out west and in Ontario. In one letter Robert Taylor asks Annie's father for permission to marry her, and in another letter he mentions a fight that broke out in which a miller working for Wadsworth was beaten. There is also a Dissolution and Partnership document involving and signed by Robert Taylor.
