The fonds consists primarily of approximately 50 letters written to Mrs. Thomas Shore, and one to Jennie Shore. Most of the letters were written by Mrs. Shore's son Charles W. Shore, and about thirteen of these were sent to Mrs. Shore by her cousin, Andy Bach. There are also about a dozen letters of recommendations for Ivan Bradshaw Miles Barr.

Fonds consists of records accumulated and retained by Malcolmson and Barber and include copies of the Waffle Newsletter, documents pertaining to the NDP convention in Winnipeg in October 1969, resolutions prepared by the Waffle movement for consideration by riding associations, union locals and youth clubs, minutes of meetings of the National Waffle organization, miscellaneous items pertaining to various Waffle groups from British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Toronto in particular, discussion and draft policy papers, correspondence between Wafflers, and an off-air excerpt of a CBC documentary about the challenge from the Waffle at the 1969 NDP Convention. Fonds also includes Barber's research notes pertaining to the Liberal Party of Manitoba during the 1960s, and copies of newsletters and Liberal Party conference delegate lists collected by Barber as a member of the Manitoba Young Liberal Association, and a book on Manitoba politics containing a chapter written by Barber on Manitoba's Liberals, 2010.

Fonds consists of correspondence, contracts, newspaper articles, and musical arrangements created or accumulated by Jack Kane between 1950 and his death in 1961, with some material added or reproduced in subsequent years. The letters focus on his relationship with his fans across Canada and in the United States, particularly during the late 1950s and early 1960s while Kane was appearing on television. The correspondence deals with the popular reaction to Kane's music (including differences in generational tastes between classical and jazz music) and the aspirations of amateur song writers, performers and often their parents seeking advice on getting into show business; much of it was answered in sometimes lengthy letters that include Kane's insights on composing and his decision to stay in Canada after achieving success in New York. One file contains promotional material and contracts with the CBC for "Music makers '58" and "Music '60"; the contracts list the musicians who played with Kane, such as Moe Kaufman, Ellis McClintock, Murray Ginsberg, and John and Joe Niosi. Photographs include promotional portraits and images of Kane with Steve Lawrence and Duke Ellington. This graphic material is considerably supplemented by a photocopied album of newspaper clippings that trace Kane's career on radio and television from 1950 to 1961, as well as national coverage of his death. Three audio discs capture two of Kane's original compositions in 1950 and 1951, as well as his first and last recordings with commercial labels. The bulk of the fonds consists of Kane's musical arrangements with manuscript annotations, arranged by the title of the score and usually attributed to the television show on which it was performed.

Reid, including birth, baptismal, and death certificates, high school yearbooks, personal correspondence, and personal papers from throughout adolescence and adult life, as well as material relevant to his professional working life. The records also include information about his family, including the diary writings of his mother, Bessie Ellis Reid, and his wife, Olive Reid. Fonds also consists of correspondence sent between family members and received by family members. Also included are 12 large scrapbooks containing cards, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other material created by, collected and arranged by George E.A. Reid and family. Also included in the fonds are Reid's personal and family photographs and various forms of Reid's artwork and music, including drawings, sketches, paintings, graphic print artwork, and some original musical compositions. The fonds also contains 35mm and large-format colour transparencies taken by George E.A. Reid of the family and flower gardens, as well as a binder containing original animation cells from "Life with Cecil" (1960), a short film animated by Reid, and other artwork including hand-painted cartoon movie title stills, sketches on tracing paper, and other hand-drawn cartoons. Fonds consists of project files created by William Wicken through his work as researcher and expert witness in projects and legal cases involving Mi'kmaq treaties, and their rights to hunt, fish, and trade. The files include correspondence with counsel for the Crown and the defense, reports on Mi'kmaq society and land treaties based on original research using archival and published documents, legal and historical opinions on the interpretion of treaties and unexhausted rights under section 35 of the Canadian Constitution, and reproductions of documents used in provincial and appeal courts in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Some files deal with issues of governance, and negotiations with the federal departments of Indian and Northern Affairs, and Fisheries and Oceans. Other files contain information on aboriginal title research involving the Mi'kmaq of Gaspe and Prince Edward Island. The fonds offers considerable information on research into aboriginal land titles in Atlantic Canada and Quebec, and the major role played by professional historians in addressing issues of legal rights and cultural identities.

The notations are grouped according to elementary, intermediate, and advanced readings, with titles that often include the name of the choreographer and, in some cases, the notator. The works of Doris Humphrey, Ray Cook, Anthony Tudor, George Balanchine, Muriel Topaz, and Ann Hutchinson Guest figure prominently among the notations. In particular, the materials relate to research funded by SSHRC between 1984-1985 to study of Japan and the Philippines and a 1994-1995 Mombusho grant to study Japanese NGOS in SE Asia, although there is material relating to earlier field research in the 1950s. Materials include research materials and resources specifically dealing with the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma/Myanmar and Indonesia including the work of NGO (Non-governmental organizations) in these countries, the reputation and imagery of the Japanese in the Philippines, agrarian policies and reforms, foreign policy, and federal elections in the Philippines.

These performances were intended to accompany the Deba Prasad Das style of Odissi dance. Consists of three separate performances: "Nindata Chandana" Abhinaya, Ashtapadi (an expression-based dance); "Natangi" and a Boomija folk dance from Orissa. These recordings were made to accompany performances by Sukanya Rahman.

The first set of letters until 7 March 1948 were written from various places in Finland, as Liisa and her family were moved around by the government from one residence to another. The next set of letters, covering the time period 22 March 1948 to 20 July 1948 were written from various locations in Sweden, where Liisa and her daughter Tytti were waiting to receive their immigration papers to move to Canada.The final set, beginning 30 August 1948 were written in Canada, again from various locations and addresses around Port Arthur, Fort William and Toronto. This collection of letters provides insight into the day-to-day life of a Finnish immigrant woman who moved to Canada to create a new life for herself with her husband and family after World War II.

Fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by George Papadatos in the course of his activities as a member of the Toronto Greek Canadian political, arts and cultural community while living in exile in Canada during the Greek military junta of 1967-1974. It includes records relating to his work as a journalist and newspaper editor (as editor of Metanastis and contributor to Ta Nea, amongst other publications); political activist; music promoter, event organizer and co-owner of the Trojan Horse coffee house; East York community service worker; and as tutor of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Toronto (Scarborough College).

One volume records vessels that arrived at Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, between 1876 and 1906, and the other volume lists vessels that departed from this port between 1876 and 1910. The registers include date of entry, rig and name of vessel, the master's name, port of departure or destination, whether the vessel was carrying cargo or ballast, and the number of tons and crew permitted under transire or coasting license.

Fonds consists of nine handwritten notebooks containing the sermons written by William Clark for services held in several locations throughout Canada West (later Ontario), including Blenheim, Burford, Plattsville, Port Dover, and Toronto. The sermons created during the 1870s were written in Baldwinsville and Greenpoint, which were likely communities on Long Island, New York. Each sermon begins with a title and the underlying biblical text, and often include the numbers of the hymns sung during the service.

Fonds illustrates Madeleine Boss Lasserre’s career and interests as a music educator of children and adults in Toronto, Ontario. Most of the material was created between 1925 and 1977, while Lasserre was actively employed with the Margaret Eaton School and the Toronto Conservatory of Music. Records include: Dalcroze teaching and demonstration notes and diagrams; correspondence with colleagues and students; material pertaining to general early childhood education; and material related to the administration and promotion of courses in Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Fonds consists of records pertaining to the personal and professional life of Italian-Canadian artist Luigi Nasato. These records, dating from 1931 to 2015, document Nasato’s early life and education in Istrana, Italy, as well as his emigration to first Argentina and then Toronto, Ontario. The records primarily pertain to Nasato’s artistic output and include several hundred drawings, sketches, paintings, and preliminary studies created over the course of his career, as well as a number of awards granted to Nasato on the basis of his artistic contributions. Many of the artistic works included in the fonds relate to projects completed in Toronto and environs, particularly to mosaic projects created by Nasato at a number of churches in the region. Fonds also includes notes on art history and artistic technique created by Nasato as both a student and professional artist, as well as miscellaneous textual and financial records pertaining to the practicalities of his artistic career. These latter records consist of publications, presentations and other writings authored or co-authored by Eric Trist, records pertaining to Trist's teaching career in both the United States and Canada, and material related to the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, of which Trist was a founding member.

Fonds consists of diaries, account books, crop records, photographs, publications and drafts written by Hunt, correspondence, contracts, receipts, government documents and publications, newspaper and magazine articles, maps, and ephemera. Hunt’s correspondence with various government officials and travel coordinators documents his enrollment in the Settlement Scheme, and the processes involved in migrating from England to Canada. Hunt’s participation in the scheme is further documented by his accumulation of government publications and legal documents, as well as the journals and receipts that pertained to his farming activities. Photographs and maps depict Hedgerows farm and its location. Newspaper and magazine clippings and other printed ephemera collected by Hunt, while in Saskatchewan and after his return to England, record his continued interest in the fates of his fellow settlers. Although Hunt published an essay recounting his experiences positively, his drafts speak of his ultimate discontent with the Settlement Scheme.

Fonds consists of records pertaining to the life and work of Canadian-Scottish Jazz musician and Toronto Jazz Festival founder, Jim Galloway. Records include those pertaining to his early life in Scotland, his work as a booking agent and radio host with CKFM, his administrative roles with the Toronto Jazz Festival, and his life as a performing saxophonist. In addition to the administrative contracts, correspondence, notes, travel records, gig and festival memorabilia, sheet music, and other records pertaining to Galloway's career, the fonds includes extensive audio recordings of Galloway's radio show, Toronto Alive, as well as various other recordings created or compiled by Galloway throughout his career.
