Arthur S. Hamilton letter to the Brantford Historical Society 1952

File consists of a typescript carbon copy letter written by Arthur S. Hamilton to the editor of the Brantford Historical Society (Ontario), concerning the exploration of the Great Lakes (1669-1670) by the Sulpician missionaries, François Dollier de Casson (1636-1701) and René Bréhant de Galinée (d. 1678), as well as two maps sketched by Hamilton depicting the "Indian Village of Tanawawa" and "Wintering Place".

Robert Taylor : correspondence and papers 1875-1883

File consists of correspondence to Miss. Annie Hill and later Mrs. [Robert] Taylor. Letter content describes conditions of Winnipeg in the late 1800s, such as the weather, business, price of bread, real estate and journey to Winnipeg, as well the prospects out west and in Ontario. In one letter Robert Taylor asks Annie's father for permission to marry her, and in another letter he mentions a fight that broke out in which a miller working for Wadsworth was beaten. There is also a Dissolution and Partnership document involving and signed by Robert Taylor.

Moxley that discuss plants in Ontario such as the marsh fern and polystichum lonchitis; a photograph of Frank Moxley in a corn field taken September 1947; a photograph of a barn that has the buildings numbered from 1-6 with an identification key written on the back; and a photograph of a fossil sent to H.H. Brown by Moxley.
