Fonds contains correspondence relating to Nancy Pocock's career as a refugee worker, peace activist and jeweler as well as material relating to the Pocock family, to her personal life and publications and pamphlets collected by Pocock over the course of her career. Wedgwood visit to Denton in December 1891; gifts of flowers; a lunar eclipse in May 1892; Wedgwood's opposition of vivisection; the "sudden insanity of your literary acquaintance"; and their mutual correspondence with Dr. van Eeden. The fonds consists of drafts of published and unpublished poems, plays, stories, and novels, including those written for creative writing courses taken at York, drafts of poems written for her published poetry collections 'How to Draw Blood from a Stone,' 'Confessions of a Fertility Expert,' 'Pretending to Die,' 'Live Coverage,' 'Successful Tragedies: Poems 1998-2010' and 'Traumatology'. Also included is correspondence, research files, notes, and drafts related to Uppal's two novels 'The Divine Economy of Salvation' and 'To Whom it May Concern.' The fonds also includes the edited drafts of submissions and correspondence related to 'Uncommon Ground: A Celebration of Matt Cohen'. Files in the fonds also pertain to Uppal's work preparing anthologies as editor for 'The Exile Book of Poetry in Translation: Twenty Canadian Poets Take on the World' and 'The Exile Book of Canadian Sports Stories.' Records in this fonds also include personal and professional correspondence, drafts of plays, files regarding literary activities, including grant applications, personal appearances at conferences and events to promote publications, editorial work, writing workshops, and literary ephemera such as posters, programmes, flyers, catalogues and T-shirts. The fonds also includes teaching evaluations filled out by Uppal's students at York University, as well as literary works, stories, examinations, and final project submissions by graduate students whose work was supervised by Priscila Uppal.

Pocock family papers

Series consists of correspondence between Pocock and her family including correspondence exchanged between Pocock and her husband Jack while he was serving in the Second World War. It also includes newspaper clippings relating to Nancy Pocock and to various members of her family, legal documents, a series of baby books pertaining to family members and kept by Pocock, journals of various family members, letters of condolence on the deaths of Jack and Nancy Pocock, photographs and other ephemera pertaining to the family.

File consists of original, typed transcriptions and extracts of correspondence between Andrew Lang and Welby. Includes some draft letters. Topics include: Lang's attack of a Miss Wilkins in the publication "Illustration", origins of ghosts in primitive societies, early religions, Welby's correspondence with Dr. Tylor, Prof. Boys, a Dr. "Wllr" and Prof. L.M.; meetings with Max Muller and Prof. Michel Breal; discussion of "animal Land", eugenics and the Sociological Society.
