Fonds consists of research notes, newspaper clippings, reports, publications, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to Portuguese emigration and the Portuguese experience in Canada compiled by Professor Higgs in connection with his scholarly work and teaching on Portuguese history and his collaborative work with Grace Anderson.

Fonds consists of transcripts of interviews with Portuguese immigrants, collected ephemera, notes, research material and photographs related to Domingos Marques' activities as a activist, newspaper editor and municipal politician within the Portuguese community of Toronto. Includes issues of the Portuguese community newspaper "Comunidade".

Fonds consists of VHS videocassettes containing raw footage of interviews with Portuguese Canadians about the Portuguese-Canadian immigrant experience.

Fonds consists of notes and interview transcripts of Ilda Januário, produced during her research on Portuguese women in Quebec; administrative documents from her work with the Comite Lar dos Idosos and the Portuguese-Canadian Coalition for Better Education and the Toronto Portuguese Parents Association (TPPA).

Fonds contains records which document the advocacy and educational campaigns of the Portuguese Interagency Network, its relationships with community service agencies in the Greater Toronto Area, and its administrative history. Records include: grant applications, membership lists and applications, correspondence, promotional material, advocacy and educational campaign material, newsletters and surveys. The material of each Working, Standing, and Ad-Hoc Committee, such as meeting minutes, agendas, notes, and promotional materials, are also included. Fonds also contains records which document the relationship between PIN and other community service agencies in the Greater Toronto Area, such as meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, and press releases.

Audio-visual material includes advocacy and education campaigns and recordings of national conferences.

Fonds consists of research material created and collected by Wenona Giles as part of her anthropological studies of Portuguese migrant women in London, United Kingdom, and Toronto, Canada.
