"The high hard ones" : short story drafts and letter

File consists of a draft of this story and a letter from John Macfarlane of Toronto Life magazine inviting Crosbie to submit a story for its annual summer fiction issue. Also included are page proofs for this article, which was published by Saturday Night magazine in 2001.

The Girl Wants To : contracts, license agreements and permission letters

Items in this file pertain to various licence agreements and contracts for stories published in this anthology edited by Crosbie. Also included in the file are items relating to the closure of Coach House Press, the original publisher of this book, and efforts to get permissions signed for the book to be reprinted by Macfarlane Walter & Ross.

File consists of records pertaining to a course taught by Crosbie at McLaughlin College at York University entitled "Images of women in modern Canadian literature" (MC1700.06), include a McLaughlin College course catalogue, a list of essay topics, a form pertaining to new course proposals, and a memorandum pertaining to a books and supplies allowance for part-time faculty and teaching assistants. File consists of photographs taken by Bruce McDonald while on a road trip through Vancouver, Seattle and Los Angeles. These photographs feature various people posing with a toy alien wearing a coat. Included in the file is a handwritten note by Crosbie explaining the context of the photographs. Photographs have been annotated on verso by McDonald with the names of the subjects. File consists of items collected and/or accumulated by Crosbie, including a toy belonging to her dog, a pair of earrings, a pen used by Marilyn Manson, items pertaining to the suicide of Daniel Jones and to Tony Burgess. These items are accompanied by explanatory notes written by Crosbie.

File consists of a university essay by Crosbie entitled "This is my body: an examination of Anne Sexton's 'Ms. Dog' poems", as well as Crosbie's handwritten notes and research materials pertaining to John Berryman, Robert Lowell, and W.D. Snodgrass. Included is an student essay written by Tony Burgess entitled "A spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings, foreseen in tranquility: John Berryman's 'Henry's understanding'".

File also includes notes and letters written to Burgess from Crosbie and several cards and postcards from Crosbie's parents and David McGimpsey, as well as a photograph of Burgess at Christmas.
