Titled as Contemporary Political Struggles of Native Peoples, introduced by Richard Lee. Recorded speakers include John Mohawk, Tony Belcourt, Harold Cardinal and Philip Awashish. Other speakers on the panel included John Saul, Shelton H. Davis, Ben Magubane, Ernest Benedict, Paul Coe, Bernard Arcand, Howard Mitchell, Robert Vanlarope (sp?) and Boshe Richardson.

Item consists of a folding pamphlet for the second Mariposa Folk Festival, held in Orillia, Ontario from 10-12 August 1962. The pamphlet includes schedule of performances, a synopsis of the history of Orillia, a map with directions, and accommodation information.

Seventh annual Mariposa Folk Festival Innis Lake Ontario

Item consists of the 34 page Mariposa Folk Festival program for 1967, held near Innis Lake, Ontario from 11-13 August, 1967. The program was edited by Raymond Gallinger, and featured a cover design by Gary Preet. Program includes an illustrated schedule of concerts and workshops, as well as a listing of performer biographies. Also features three articles, including "Richard Waterman's Short History of the Blues", The Revolving Trends of Popular Music" by Leigh Cline, an anonymous short article about the University Settlement International Folk Dancer, "Traditional Folk Songs, Dances, and Tales of England - Scotland - Ireland" by Roger Deveer Renwick, "A Canadian Sampler" by Edith Fowke and a farewell letter from Ruth M. Jones, founder of Mariposa.

The program was designed and edited by Richard Flohil and Marna Snitman. Program includes an illustrated schedule of evening and day concerts and workshops, a listing of performer biographies, as well as an auditor's report for the festival foundation. Also includes articles, including, "Performers from Toronto ethnic groups play a special part in Mariposa" by Flo Hayes and "Crafts and craftsmen at the Festival" by Sykes Morrison.
