Immigration reports

File consists of reports on immigration and refugees discussed in the House of Commons; excerpts from Canadian immigration legislation, prepared by Bloor Information and Legal Services, December 1985; and a consultation brief on immigration levels submitted by the Catholic Immigration Bureau's National and International Committee, 16 July 1986.

Port. Shelter / Crises Centre Project

File consists of records of the Advisory Committee of the Portuguese Pastoral Council, particularly related to the proposal for a Community-based Family Crisis Centre. File includes: drafts and a final version of "A Proposal for a Comprehensive Response to Family Violence in the Metropolitan Toronto Portuguese Community," by the Advisory Committee and the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto; a copy of "Statistics Re: Cases Involving Dependent Children" by the Metropolitan Community Services Department; and "Report on Services to Battered Women in the Portuguese Community with an Overview of Services to Battered Women in Other Ethnic Communities," by Tereza Coutinho.

Ontario Outreach Phase I

Access to City Services : 1987 report & PIN presentation

File consists of records related to a presentation given by Eduarda Sousa of PIN at a community briefing on "Multicultural Access to City of Toronto Services," held by the Toronto Mayor's Committee on Community and Race Relations, on 27 June. Health week grant

File consists of records relating to the Health Promotions Grant Program offered by the Ontario Ministry of Health for the "Semana da Saude" project. Records include: correspondence with the Health Promotion Branch of the Ministry; the grant application; financial reports; summaries of the Semana da Saude program; reviews and reports of the program by the Ministry; and other related materials.

List of nominated candidates : political questions

File consists of: a questionnaire created by PIN, circulated to parliamentary candidates running in the 1988 federal election; lists of candidates in the election, sent by campaign headquarters of the Progressive Conservatives, Liberals, and New Democratic Party; and completed questionnaires which include the responses of several candidates.
