Caribana – 1975 Jewels of the West Indies

A video cassette approximately 60 minutes long. The recording includes a documentary-style recording produced by Goudas Foods documenting Caribana 1975 and Shah’s band called “Jewels of the Indies.” It includes footage of Shah creating costumes, and footage of the Caribana parade itself.

A video cassette of recorded footage of CBC Toronto broadcasting Caribana coverage. Caribana 1988 marked the first year the federal government sponsored a Caribana float. The theme was “Canada: This is our home” and was led by Ken Shah (noted as Ken Shaw in the recording.) The first half of the videocasette includes episodes of Days of Our Lives and other television shows.
