Wedding scrapbook

Item is a scrapbook commemorating the marriage of Powe to Alys Maude Brady on 30 June 1949. Scrapbook includes a wedding invitation, newspaper clippings, letters, greeting cards, telegrams and other ephemera, as well as loose photographs of Powe’s grandchildren, unidentified family members, and a wedding portrait of the couple. Some photographs of Alys have been pasted in the book.

University of Alberta yearbook pages, certificate and photograph

File consists of selected unbound pages from the University of Alberta at Edmonton students' union annual publication, which includes photos of Powe and his wife, Alys, a certificate of outstanding service issued to Powe, and a photograph of Powe setting the type for the student newspaper.

File consists of a draft article by Powe on his trip to London for the 50th anniversary of VJ Day for “The Globe and Mail”, a letter to editor Sarah Murdoch, and handwritten notes. Also included is a travel notebook kept by Powe while in the Barbados in 1973.
