Labrador in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence, 1968; Ford Motor Company workers on the line in the Oakville, Ont., plant, 1973; workers in the sleeping quarters at a lumber camp, Meramichi Timber Resources, in New Brunswick, 1975; a welder on a car assembly line in Ste. Therese, Quebec, 1967; and unidentified Italian-Canadian office worker, 1979; and a CL-215 plane dropping water in a demonstration at Canadair Limited in Montreal, 1969.

File consists of a 1981 script written by Axelrod for CBC Radio about post-secondary education in Ontario, as well as his notes for a Ryerson radio interview, notes for his appearance on CBC Radio's "Metro Morning" program in September 2002, and a transcript of a 1995 episode of CBC Radio's "Ideas" program entitled "Tales out of school: universities", featuring commentary by Axelrod and others.

File consists of correspondence and a travel grant application pertaining to Axelrod's attendance at a conference held on 9-12 December 1993 at Monash University in Melbourne, co-sponsored by Australia and New Zealand History of Education Society and the Canadian History of Education Association, and his presentation of a paper entitled "Spying on the young: RCMP surveillance of students and youth in Canada, 1935-1942".

File consists of correspondence and a sample contract pertaining to a censorship research project and publication of a book, "Censorship in Canada today", edited by Klaus Petersen and Allan Hutchinson and published by the University of Toronto Press in 1999, for which Axelrod authored a paper entitled "The ironies of academic freedom".

Publication : McGill paper : revisions for higher education perspectives

File consists of correspondence, revision notes, and Axelrod's draft paper, "McGill University on the landscape of Canadian higher education: historical reflections", which he delivered to the James McGill Society on 29 April 1996 and offered for publication to McGill University. Included are overhead transparencies from his presentation, as well as a program for the event.
