Thomspon, Robert Hoffman and Arnold Hoffman resigned from Sunset Yellowknife Mines Limited in 1950, but they retained substantial shares in the company as directors of the Thompson Prospecting Syndicate, which held 700,000 shares in 1945 and 500,000 in 1946.
