File consists of an invitation to “Incontro: Where Italy and Canada Meet 1976-1996,” held at the Valhalla Inn, Thunder Bay, 10 Apr. 1997, organized by Confederation College and the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association of Thunder Bay, with John Reeves, Barry Callaghan, and Francesca Valente as guests of honours; annotated handwritten prose; betting receipts; line drawings; a newspaper article about the “Party for writers in Exile” organized by Barry Callaghan at the Metropolitan Toronto Reference Library to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Exile Editions with readings by Lorna Crozier, Michael Moriarty, Susan Musgrave, Claire De, Gale Garnett, Anne Dandurand, Margaret Gibson, Kenneth Harvey, Joe Rosenblatt, Austin Clarke, Patrick Lane, and Andre Alexis, with William Ronald beginning and completing a painting during the evening and the Peter Appleyard Quartet performing, and art works by John Meredith, S.W. Hayter, Claire Weissman Wilks, William Ronald, Nigel Dickson, Mary Meigs, and Ludwig Zeller on display in the Library’s Gallery; and photographs of the event including images of Odida T. Quamina, Beatrice Hausner, Gilbert Reid, and Daniel David Moses. Barry Callaghan hosted the evening.
