File consists of the "Report on the Outreach Pilot Project," prepared by the Mayor's Committee on Community, Race and Ethnic Relations, City of North York. Also included is Alderman Pat O'Neill's memo "Jane-Finch Project," which is a follow-up to the original report. This report recommended that the City of North York evaluate the effectiveness of their community-directed programs towards meeting community needs, promote-information sharing and program coordination among recreational and leisure programs, evaluate the consequences of planning initiatives on impacted communities, develop trust between government workers and community members, the establishment of a Youth Sub-Committee and the development of a feasibility report to assess whether a permanent Outreach/Streetworker Program would be viable. O'Neill's memo expands on the issues raised in the original report and makes additional recommendations for implementing programs within the Jane-Finch community.
