File consists of the community report "Towards Indicators of Community Capacity: A Study in Four Toronto Communities." The report examines indicators of quality of life in the Toronto neighbourhoods of Tobermory, Parkdale, Regent Park and Firgrove. Firgrove and Tobermory are communities within the Jane-Finch neighbourhood and the objective of the three-year qualitative research project was to compare four Toronto communities and determine the indicators of community capacity - the potential for the community to work towards and achieve their goals. This was measured through facilitating conditions offered by access to child care, spaces, services and programs, in contrast to barrier conditions such as unsafe meeting places and meeting times and a negative image of the community imposed by outsiders.
