File consists of correspondence exchanged between Drache and Engin F. Isin regarding Isin's draft book proposal for "Rights to the city: citizenship, democracy and cities in a global age", which is also included in the file.

Lennox - Drache proposal

File consists of correspondence, notes and proposals prepared by Drache and John Lennox of York University's Department of English pertaining to the creation of a Canadian studies seminar for Latin American scholars in collaboration with York University and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Universidad de Chile conference : preliminary programme materials

File pertains to the organization of a conference by the Instituto de Ciencia Politicia at the Universidad de Chile y del Area de Estudios Norteamericanos, the Naciones Unidas Instituo Latino Americano y del Caribe de Planificacion Economia y Social, and the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies. The conference, "The new architecture of the state: public goods in an era of globalization: a comparative examination of the public domain in Canada and Chile", was organized by Drache and M. Eugenia Morales and held in Santiago, Chile, in April 1999. Records in this file are correspondence, a preliminary budget, a participant list and a draft programme.

File consists of records pertaining to the a York Region District School Board's senior symposium on Canadian culture in the 21st century. These records are a proposal, budget and timelines. Also included is a description of another independent study project entitled "Canada in a North American perspective", from the 1992-93 Milliken Pond Canadian Constitutional Conference.

File consists of mostly incoming correspondence pertaining to Drache's work as director of the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies. Included in the file is a photograph of Harold Innis in a boat, from the National Archives of Canada.

Livy [Visano] : course release

Item is a copy of a letter sent by Drache to Dr. Livy Visano, dean of Atkinson College, pertaining to topics including a SSHRC grant for his public domain project, his release time and teaching load between 1992 and 1996, and his efforts to obtain a merit-based salary adjustment.

File consists of a letter and committee comments from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada pertaining to Drache's letter of intent submitted for this project to the Major Collaborative Research Initiatives Program, which was not approved, as well as an email sent from York University's Michael Stevenson to Drache regarding a lack of funding for this project.

File consists of a letter and an amendment pertaining to the 1995 memorandum of agreement made between Drache, his co-author Robert Boyer, and Routledge concerning their publication, "The limits to globalization".

Gary Smith

File consists of a letter written by Drache to Gary Smith, vice-president of York Lanes at York University, requesting funding support for "Canada Watch", a journal published by the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies. Included in the file are two pamphlets from the Centre for Research on Work and Safety.

David Leyton-Brown letter : reappointment

File consists of a letter written to Drache by Leyton-Brown, dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at York University, confirming his 1998 reappointment as director of the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies. Also included in the file is an agenda for a 1999 Robarts Centre board meeting, a 1999 letter by Drache to Michael Stevenson, vice-president of Academic Affairs, and a memorandum from Nick Rogers to Drache about his appointment, and a Sept. 1998 letter sent to Drache from Robarts Centre visiting scholar Ian V.B. Johnson on his work while at York.

File consists of photocopies of Alan Porter's undated handwritten notes, taken while a student in Harold Innis' economic history class.

Drache-Higgott

File consists of letters sent to participants in a seminar organized by Drache and Richard Higgott entitled "Governing the public domain beyond the era of the Washington Consensus?: Redrawing the line between the state and the market". These letters concern guidelines for the publication of participant papers in a book, which became "The market or the public domain?: global governance and the asymmetry of power", edited by Drache and published in 2001.

File consists of a notice pertaining to a seminar run by Drache on 20 May 2003 at the University of Sydney's School of Economics. Included in the file is a draft copy of his paper entitled "Poverty eradication, economic integration and citizenship: modeling social inclusion after the Quebec summit" and accompanying overhead transparencies.

Research file : Kenneth Coates

File consists of a draft paper written by Kenneth Coates entitled "Border crossings: patterns and processes along the Canada-United States boundary west of the Rockies", annotated by Drache and accompanied by his notes. Included are newspaper clippings on the Canadian lumber industry.

Toronto public culture '08 : research materials

File consists of journal and newspaper articles, papers, and e-mail correspondence exchanged between Drache, Dragan Klaic and Jessica Kelly, the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies researcher. These records pertain to research about the role of public space in the production of culture in Toronto, including a copy of Drache's own paper entitled "Canada's resource curse: social v. market Canada".

Multicultural discontent

Item consists of 35 JPEG photographs from a presentation given by Michael Adams for the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies. Drache is depicted in some images along with Adams and others. Photographs by Gary Beechey.
