Fonds consists of the organizational records of the Mariposa Folk Foundation Inc., the volunteer organization established to manage and operate the Mariposa Folk Festival. Also includes donations of material from early organizers of the Mariposa Folk Festival prior to the incorporation of the Mariposa Folk Foundation.

File consists of records related to a research project on the subject of Newfoundland culture. Files consists of artists submissions for the 1975, 1976 and 1982 Festivals as well a correspondence with some of these artists. Files contain minutes of Board meetings between 1976 and 1981. File consists of records related to a draw that took place in 1981.
Box consists of records related to a 1991 film on the subject of the Mariposa Festival, the records of the Festival Organizing Group in 1990 and records related to the Arts Coalition of Toronto (TACT).
