There are also submissions from individuals and organizations appearing before the Committee, and these are also arranged by city in which they were presented. In addition, there is material on international aspects of the arts, arts administration, broadcasting, the role of government in the arts, and related subjects. There is a copy of the final report, 'Report of the Federal Cultural Policy Review Committee,' (1982) as well as drafts. There are also newspaper clippings regarding the Committee, its work, and meetings across the country.

In addition to Wiseman, it counted Murray Adaskin, Elizabeth Smart, Phyllis Webb, Earle Birney, Timothy Findley, Vera Frenkel, George Johnston, Gwendolyn McEwen, Anne Michaels, P.K. Page and others among its memberhship.

Project and donor contributed description follows: "Sometime between 1987 and 1988, it's the summer season and the Jabbar family welcomes uncles and aunts over for a visit to Canada, staying at their apartment in Scarborough, ON. Family was always welcome at the Jabbar household and they are happy and willing to stay for weeks at a time despite the small space. The footage shows how multigenerational the gatherings are, which included S's grandmother who recently came to live with the family."

The records in this series document his early short-story and creative writing, including items co-written with Rita Greer Allen in the 1940s, as well as his work as a sessional instructor of television writing at the University of British Columbia in 1953, the formation of his company Saturday Plays Limited, his finances and other personal subjects. McPhedran was a co-founder of the fund and member of the finance committee in 1982 and 1983. The series consists of correspondence and other material that documents Wiseman's relationship to her family and, as such, contains copies of letters received by Wiseman as well as copies of letters sent by her to various members of her family including her husband, Dmitry Stone, her parents, Chaika and Pesach Waisman and her daughter Tamara Stone. It also contains medical records, marriage licenses, divorce papers, wills of various members of the family, photographs, memorabilia as well as collected correspondence exchanged between members of the Wiseman family but not necessarily about the author herself.

Series consists of records created and maintained by Robert Greer Allen from his early days as a wartime radio scriptwriter for "Serviceman's forum" in the 1940s through his 40 years as a producer for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio and television drama. Though some scripts in this series were written by Robert, many were accumulated by him in his role as producer or executive producer for CBC programs including "General Motors theatre", "Ford startime", "Folio", "Festival", "Performance", "CBC summer theatre", "Seeing things" and others. Other records in this series include set photographs and drawings, videocassettes, correspondence, memoranda, notes, and assorted production materials, such as filming schedules and requisition forms.

Series consists of records pertaining to Rita Greer Allen's career as a freelance researcher, screenwriter, producer and broadcaster for Canadian radio and television between the 1940s and the 1970s. The records in this series include scripts written by Rita, research materials, notes, newspaper clippings, interview transcripts, correspondence, photographs and production materials used in the creation of and pertaining to programs for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio and television and for the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). Also included in this series are manuscripts for Greer Allen's chapter written for the Marion Woodman book "Leaving my father's house: a journey to conscious femininity"(1993). Programs documented in this series include "As children see us", a CBC radio program; "Barometer rising", a CBC radio adaptation of Hugh MacLennan's novel that was later written as a television script; educational radio plays for in-school listening, created for the Departments of Education of the Provinces of British Columbia and Ontario in co-operation with the CBC and for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC); CBC television programs "CBC Thursday night", "Of all people", and "Take 30"; original television drama "The raku fire" (1976); as well as many one-off drama adaptation or documentary projects for radio and television. Many radio scripts written in the 1940s were co-authored with Rita's husband, Robert Greer Allen, and correspondence and writing by Robert appear in some files in this series.

Series consists of audio recordings used by Thaniel in the course of his work as professor of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Toronto. Recordings include interviews with authors and poets, poetry and prose readings, live theatre recordings, music performances, in addition to discussions and lectures. Also included is a recording of Thaniel reciting his own poetry, as well as a recording of the radio memorial dedicated to Thaniel that was aired in July 1991 after Thaniel’s sudden death in June 1991.

Series consists of material pertaining to ICCSASW’s special program focused on women sugar workers. This work was undertaken with the help of an intern between 1987 and 1991. In the case of intern, Joan Atlin, this was made possible by a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Award for Canadians and consisted of networking, seminars, exchanges of visits and publications. Files include correspondence, research, reports and notes.

Series consists of records created and accumulated by Marilou McPhedran relating to her involvement with the creation the Canadian Women's Foundation, founded to distribute funds to programs and projects assisting the self-reliance and economic independence of girls and women. The records in this series document the activities of the foundation in its first two years, particularly its board meetings and fundraising efforts to secure support from individuals, organizations and institutions, as well as McPhedran's work as interim director of the foundation in 1990. These records include correspondence, memoranda, minutes, questionnaires, notes, contracts, news releases, and invoices. Some records in this series were created by McPhedran's assistant for this project, Vicki Armstrong.

Series consists of files created and accumulated by Marilou McPhedran pertaining to an Ontario Human Rights complaint filed against Osgoode Hall Law School and York University Dean Harry Arthurs and the resulting formation of the Institute for Feminist Legal Research at York University. McPhedran was one of more than 100 lawyers, law students and legal academics who were signatories of this complaint, which charged systemic discrimination against women after Osgoode Hall Law School did not promote Professor Mary Jane Mossman to the position of dean. The records in this series document the process of settling the dispute, the meetings and activities of the complainants' steering committee, and the details of the settlement made between the complainants and York University. These records include memoranda, newsletters, notes, correspondence, minutes of settlement, memoranda of agreement, agendas, reports, draft documents, invoices, and notices.

Series consists of chronologically arranged subject files and/or scrapbooks that were maintained by Christie on an annual basis between the years 1913 and 1984. The material up to 1959 was maintained in bound scrapbooks following which they were maintained as loose material in file folders. In both cases, they contain clippings, reviews, programs, miscellaneous correspondence, photographs and ephemera that document Christie's personal and/or professional life. The early scrapbooks contain Christie's record of Baptism as well as report cards from Riverdale Collegiate and programmes related to his early acting career at Hart House Theatre while he was a student at the University of Toronto. Included are records of Christie's acting career in London, England where he acted as part of the company of the Old Vic among other companies and of his acting career in Canada where he was a long term member of the New Play Society and the Stratford Shakespearean Festival company.

Series consists of typescript scripts by Knowlton Nash, often extensively annotated with handwritten comments that demonstrate his editorial approach to the topic. The scripts are often accompanied by research notes and printed documents that served as Nash's background material for writing the script and preparing for the broadcast. The files deal with Nash's work as a Washington correspondent during the 1960s, his work on Newsmagazine from 1978 to 1981, and news specials, such as the Tokyo economic summit in 1979, the evening of the Quebec referendum on sovereignty in 1980, the Ottawa summit, the launch of the first space shuttle, and the constitutional conference of 1981. The series also includes scripts for Nash's "final word" for the week at conclusion of Saturday's evening news broadcast, 1988 to 1992.

Series consists of records pertaining to Simpson's work in cross-cultural education from the 1970s to the early 1990s, predominantly at the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of Education and the Centre for International Business Studies. The records include lecture notes, articles and readings, speeches, visual materials such as overhead transparencies, course syllabi, reports, teaching materials such as case studies and exercises, correspondence, clippings and student assignments. The subjects documented include teaching students of different cultures, First Nations thought systems and education, education in the developing world, and inter-cultural issues in international management. A number of subject files contain resources on ethnicity, I.Q., social class, compensatory education and language and their effect on learning and success. There are also a number of files inherited by Simpson, created by another professor at the UWO business school, Joseph J. DeStefano. Courses Simpson taught at the business school included "The culturally different child" and "Problems in cross-cultural management." He taught the latter course at UWO in the spring of 1989 and then in Germany at the Koblenz School of Business in the fall of 1989. The series also includes files from workshops Simpson ran in 1980 for CBC North managers following his report on "The use of radio and television for education purposes in the Canadian North -- what can be learned from the experiences of the Third World?"

The series consists of journals kept by the author as well as loose material found in journals such as correspondence, notes, fragments of stories and other items. It contains notebooks, bound or unbound, in which Wiseman kept ideas for stories and works as well as drafts of her work, drawings and other thoughts from her daily life. It also includes address books kept by Wiseman over several years.

The series consists of subject files on various aspects of the project, copies of action plans and progress reports, contracts, correspondence, memorandum, reports, course outlines, minutes, notebooks, journals, publications and student assignments created and/or accumulated by Norquay while she participated in the project.

Series consists of records created and maintained by Rita Greer Allen that document the extent of her travels, primarily outside of Canada and mostly undertaken in the 1960s and 1970s. These records include correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, research materials, maps, notes, itineraries, stamps, brochures and pamphlets, postcards and airplane tickets. A number of Greer Allen's trips to Europe and Asia documented in this series were taken with the Canadian Women's Press Club.

Series consists of four posters for the 1992 film “Tectonic Plates”. The 104 minute staged performance uses continental drift as a metaphor for the evolution of human culture. Staged in actual location in Venice and a sparse stage and pool, Tectonic Plates was critically acclaimed for its dreamlike imager, theatrical staging and philosophical intent. The production received the Christopher Columbus Award for most original and creative submission, and the most innovative award at the Figueira da Foz International Film Festival in Portugal.

The series consists of research material, notes, manuscript and typescript drafts of Wiseman's novels, short stories, poetry, plays, works of non-fiction, book reviews, speeches and scripts, many of which were written for CBC radio. It also includes publicity material, reviews of her work and copies of articles written about her by others. It contains material related to her novels "The Sacrifice" and "Crackpot", to the plays "Testimonial Dinner", "The Lovebound" and "Someday Sam: A Play, Libretto or Puppet Opera for Children of All Ages" as well as other material that documents her writing process.

The series consists of chronologically arranged files of correspondence that document Wiseman's professional life and includes correspondence with publishers, grant applications and inquiries, letters of inquiry related to employment, material that documents her affiliation with various organizations such as ACTRA, The League of Canadian Poets and The Writers' Union of Canada, correspondence and material related to universities where she served as writer-in-residence, appraisals and recommendations for writers including Susan Musgrave, Joy Kogawa, Ruth Johnson and others and correspondence related to travel and to her tenure as an instructer at the Banff Centre.
