Series consists of home videos documenting this Haitian family in New York City during Christmas in 1969 and digging out their home in the St. Leonard, Montreal after the 1971 snow storm. Footage was captured by André and Ginette Valcin.

Collection contains digital and analogue home movies submitted to and digitized by Home Made Visible, a nation-wide project by the Regent Park Film Festival. The project collected movies from visible minority families and Indigenous peoples in Canada. Footage consists of everyday life including children playing and family trips, and celebrations including birthdays and holidays.

Project 3 : emergency shelter for single women

File consists of records pertaining to the women's shelter sub-committee and advocacy for a shelter for woman not fleeing violence. File also consists of research and final copy of a needs assessment for emergency shelter and relevant supports for women in York Region who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness called "Hidden From Sight: Homeless, Hidden Homeless and At Risk Women in York Region", and media coverage.

Music collection

Series predominantly focuses on musical performances by Indigenous artists from North America, as well as Indigenous artists from across the globe. Collection was arranged by the creator into broad categories such as genre (traditional, sing society, tribal songs, pow wow, traditional, ceremonial, classical, metal, rap, jazz, spoken word, contemporary, flute, fiddle, compilations) and geographical region (ex: arctic, mid-west, Hawaii, South American, Australia, and New Zealand). This information was captured in the archival description where possible. Researchers should also reference the Encyclopedia of Native Music to confirm genres and categories. Collection may also include non-musical recordings such as audio books and educational material.

File includes Fusé’s contributions to the essayist collective Goji Tsushin, where authors agreed to each write essays at the same time each month, at 5:00 on the 5th day of the month), publish and share their work. File also includes a copy of Goji Tsushin’s publication and Lois Fusé’s english translation of a letter she sent to the other members of Goji Tsushin after her husband’s death.

Canadian State Trials Vol. 5

File consists of drafts of Whitaker’s chapter “The Gouzenko Affair: From Star Chamber to the Court Room”, editorial guidelines and titles, editorial recommendations regarding ‘The Gouzenko Affair’ and Chapter 1 ‘Introduction: World War, Cold War, and Challenges to Sovereignty.’ These chapters formed parts of “Canadian State Trials Volume V.” last updated in May 2019.

The accession consists of literary papers including personal and professional correspondence, short stories, travel essays and manuscripts, photographs from filming the movie adaptation of “Such a Long Journey,” and photographs from award ceremonies and convocations for several honorary doctorate degrees. Included are records pertaining to Mistry’s investiture in the Order of Canada, research material, financial records, and contributions to journals and literary periodicals plus short stories, essays, excerpts published in various anthologies, and bound galley proofs written by other authors requesting testimonials.
