Accession 2008-032 includes the editorial files for "Imagination in action : thoughts on creativity by painters, sculptors, musicians, poets, novelists, teachers, actors," a book edited by Malyon that was published by Mercury Press in 2007. The project began with interviews with Marjory Smart and Milt Jewell in 1990-1991 to explore the concept of creativity, and was resumed in 2005 when Malyon invited submissions from many people who created original works in different disciplines. The records files include correspondence, edited manuscripts, annotated page proofs, and correspondence with the publisher regarding the contract, design, and promotion of the book.

Accession 2009-044 consists of manuscripts for even-numbered brunches, copy edited page proofs, and promotional material for the book written with bill bissett, "griddle talk : a yeer uv bill n carol dewing brunch" (Talonbooks, 2009), as well as documents relating to Malyon's work as an instructor at the Maritime Writers' Workshop in 1998, her literary readings in 2008, and correspondence with Fred Cogswell and K.D. Fond consists of material that documents Paikin's personal and professional life with an emphasis on his work as a journalist, documentary filmmaker and author. It has been arranged into six series.

The collection consists of the Ontario Folklore Archives which includes student essays and cassettes of folklore in Canada. Subjects discussed in the student essays include folk medicine, folklore from regions in Ontario and Canada (Oshawa, Ontario, Feversham, Ontario, Newfoundland), from cultural groups (Jews, Ukrainians, French Canadians), musical folklore, social folklore (children’s jokes, urban graffiti), and related topics. In addition, there are recordings on audio cassettes and audio reels of Scottish folk songs and customs, old-time fiddling, songs of the Scottish regiment and of other subjects.

Fonds consists of Kathryn Koenig's records pertaining to her involvement in the first Advising Centre in the Faculty of Arts, York University, and includes memos, drafts, and discussions about an advising centre; promotional material; anniversary books by York University.

The collection consists of programmes, playbills and notices of productions in Ontario (predominantly Toronto) theatres, 1971-1983, arranged alphabetically by the title of the production. Some of the companies and theatres represented include, Toronto Arts Productions, Stratford Theatre, Skylight Theatre, Toronto Workshop Productions, Toronto Free Theatre, Royal Alex Theatre, Theatre Aquarius, National Arts Centre (Ottawa), Lime Light Dinner Theatre, Theatre in the Dell, Young People’s Theatre, Shaw Festival, and Theatre Passe Muraille.

Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, reports, brochures and other material that documents Rubin's involvement with the International Theatre Institute.

The fonds documents Clayton Ruby's activities as a lawyer and activist. Records consist of professional correspondence, general files, and subject files. General correspondence is mostly with politicians, colleagues, and the Law Society. Records contained in general files include correspondence and resource materials pertaining to legal and social justice issues, as well as miscellaneous records sent to Ruby. Subject file topics include the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Advocates' Society, Amnesty International, conferences, Law Reform Commission, Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, the Charter of Rights Education Fund, the Criminal Lawyers' Association, the Writers' Union of Canada, Ruby's newspaper columns and letters to the editor, and his role as book review editor for the Criminal Law Quarterly. Also included are various photographic portraits of Clayton Ruby.

The fonds consists of a steel plate of James Paton Isaac, which was used for the front plate of 'Factors in the ruin of antiquity,' (1971).

Fonds consists of correspondence between Moss and numerous Canadian literary figures including Margaret Atwood, George Bowering, Matt Cohen, Northrop Frye, Robert Kroetsch, Hugh MacLennan, John Metcalf, Farley Mowat, Michael Ondaatje, James Reaney, Sinclair Ross, Ruby Wiebe, George Woodcock, among others.

Fonds consists of records pertaining to Yvonne Vera’s activities as a prominent African writer of English fiction and as a student and teacher of English literature while in Canada. Records include finished copies, typescripts and drafts of published and unpublished works; copies of articles written by and about Vera; personal and professional correspondence; personal memorabilia. Fonds includes a selection of books both by and belonging to Vera and a copy of the Vera biography, “Petal Thoughts,” by Ericah Gwetai. The fonds consists of items created and accumulated together by Vera and Jose, as well as mementos brought from Zimbabwe by Vera.

Fonds consists of records documenting Beverley Salmon's work as an activist and as a North York and Metro Toronto Councillor. Records primarily pertain to subjects including race relations, the Toronto Transit Commission, the building of a subway to York University, and her involvement with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Records include correspondence, agenda packages, reports, notes, news clippings, and conference material.

The fonds documents the functioning and activities of Parkdale Community Legal Services for the period 1971-1981. It includes minutes of meetings, internal and external correspondence, financial records, annual reports, published material and other material.

Fonds consists of a typewritten memoir of Douglas George How's two years as assistant to Robert Henry Winters, Canadian Minister of Public Works, 1955-1957.

Fonds consists of personal publications written by George Thaniel, including his curriculum vitae and the complete collection of The Amaranth journals. Fonds also consists of audio cassettes recordings used by Thaniel in the course of his work as professor of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Toronto. Recordings include interviews with Modern Greek authors and poets, poetry and prose readings, live theatre recordings, and music performances, in addition to discussions and lectures. Audio recordings further include Thaniel reciting his own poetry, as well as a memorial that was recorded posthumously following his sudden death in June 1991.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to Barbara Sternberg's activities as an artist, teacher, writer, and activist. In addition to subject files containing materials related to her films, the fonds includes posters, reviews, catalogues, programmes, research and drafts of unrealized projects, course, project, and grant proposals, as well as publications by and about Sternberg. It also includes conference and workshop materials, pedagogical documents, drafts of Sternberg's Cinema Canada column, materials related to screenings, exhibitions, and festivals, as well as correspondence with friends and colleagues, including contemporary Canadian experimental artist Michael Fernandes and former Canadian Parliamentary Poet Laureate George Elliott Clarke. Records of a personal nature are predominantly limited to correspondence.

The fonds consists of Germain Bazin's correspondence with publishers (Abrams, J.P. Taillandier, 'Les nouvelles litteraires', Thames & Hudson), museums and art agencies and exhibitions (International Council of Museums, Theodore Gericault Exposition, Lengyel Project), and administrative matters relating to York University. There is also some personal correspondence, 1971-1974.

Fonds consists of textual records created and accumulated by Maj. Burke in his role as Secretary of the Gurkha Welfare Appeal (Canada). Files related to the operations of the GWA(C) in Canada include financial statement, reports, audits, meeting minutes. The fonds also contains copies of reports, meeting minutes, newsletters, and promotional material for the Gurkha Welfare Trust in the United Kingdom. Files related to the promotion of the GWA(C) in Canada also include photographs, souvenir items, post cards, and maps and other material related to Nepal tourism. Files related to the projects of the GWA(C) in Nepal, including the Area Welfare Centres, schools for the blind, bridges, and water projects, consist of records such as photographs, maps, and reports. The fonds also contains published material including booklets and pamphlets about the Gurkhas and a copy of a Ph.D. dissertation on Gurkha history. Fonds also contains two medals, a plaque, military lapel pins, and three videocassettes.

The fonds consists of a series of letters between Enid Rutland and Margaret Laurence (1970-1983), dealing in the main with the production of 'The collected plays of Gwen Pharis Ringwood,' (1982), but containing some personal notes as well.

Fonds consists of records documenting Terrill Maguire’s dance and choreography career, the formation and management of her dance and music festival, Inde, as well as her work as an instructor in the dance department of York University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. These records include correspondence, day planners, grant applications, proposals, course materials, contracts, memorabilia, photographs, videocassettes, audio reels, cassettes and compact discs.

Fonds consists of Zdenka Volavka records accumulated and created over the course of her professorial career. The majority of files consist of annotated photocopied material obtained through interlibrary loans (the card catalogue indexing this material was prepared by Zdenka's long-time assistant, the late Charlotte Carrol). Files also contain material related to her involvement at York University and her research on the kingship and royal ritual in Ngoyo, Africa.

Fonds consists of records documenting Armstrong's academic and research career, as well as records pertaining to her role as an expert witness and CHSRF/CIHR Chair in Health Services and Nursing Research.
