Fonds consists of records pertaining to the personal and professional life of Italian-Canadian artist Luigi Nasato. These records, dating from 1931 to 2015, document Nasato’s early life and education in Istrana, Italy, as well as his emigration to first Argentina and then Toronto, Ontario. The records primarily pertain to Nasato’s artistic output and include several hundred drawings, sketches, paintings, and preliminary studies created over the course of his career, as well as a number of awards granted to Nasato on the basis of his artistic contributions. Many of the artistic works included in the fonds relate to projects completed in Toronto and environs, particularly to mosaic projects created by Nasato at a number of churches in the region. Fonds also includes notes on art history and artistic technique created by Nasato as both a student and professional artist, as well as miscellaneous textual and financial records pertaining to the practicalities of his artistic career. Also included in the fonds is an extensive collection of photographs and clippings, compiled by Nasato over the course of his life, most of which document works of art created by Nasato and others.

Fonds consists of records created during Harry Boyle's career as a broadcaster, including: sound recordings of programmes, interviews, and speeches; transcripts of speeches (1968-1973) delivered while working for the CBC and the CRTC; personal and administrative files while chairman of the CRTC and during his tenure at the Banff School of Fine Arts. There are files related to the writing and publishing his books, and articles and stories published during his years as a journalist with the Toronto Telegram. Also included are items from Boyle's library about communications, broadcasting, and advertising. The records accessioned following his death in 2005 also include: files regarding Boyle's involvement with the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour and the Leacock memorial dinner; articles by or about Boyle; scripts for the CBC's Farm Department and articles on Canadian agriculture; manuscripts for "Memories of a Catholic boyhood" and "Dreams stronger than death; correspondence and subject files for the Boyle family, his career as a writer and broadcaster, the work of leading Canadian personalities; honours and awards; research and writing on a wide variety of topics; and internal memoranda from the CBC.

Fonds consists of personal publications written by George Thaniel, including his curriculum vitae and the complete collection of The Amaranth journals. Fonds also consists of audio cassettes recordings used by Thaniel in the course of his work as professor of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Toronto.

Fonds further consists of photographic slides taken by Thaniel depicting various events and documenting his travels, as well as copies of correspondence sent to Thaniel by various Greek literary figures, professors in Modern Greek studies, and artists.

Fonds consists of a journal kept by Anthony Hadfield, secretary of the Ontario Motor League, and his wife Ruth during a cross-country trip by car from July to Sep. 1962 to mark the opening of the Trans-Canada Highway. The journal records the distances travelled each day, the amount of gasoline used, and a commentary on road conditions, scenery, and sites visited along the way. The fonds also includes photographs taken during the trip as well as during visits to the Middle East in 1943 and to England in the 1960s or 1970s, ephemera from the Hadfields' travels, and newspaper clippings regarding the life of Ruth Hadfield.

The correspondence includes personal correspondence of Robert Hendy, arranged chronologically (1965-1969), as well as correspondence of Tri-Service Identities Organization (TRIO), including correspondence with branches, the Department of National Defence, committees of the House of Commons, correspondence with military organizations (Imperial Officers Association, Navy League) and others arranged alphabetically by name or subject. The collection consists of the Ontario Folklore Archives which includes student essays and cassettes of folklore in Canada. Subjects discussed in the student essays include folk medicine, folklore from regions in Ontario and Canada (Oshawa, Ontario, Feversham, Ontario, Newfoundland), from cultural groups (Jews, Ukrainians, French Canadians), musical folklore, social folklore (children’s jokes, urban graffiti), and related topics. In addition, there are recordings on audio cassettes and audio reels of Scottish folk songs and customs, old-time fiddling, songs of the Scottish regiment and of other subjects.

The fonds consists of material related to John Smith's personal life and to his professional career as a writer, producer and director. Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by Marilou McPhedran through her activities as a lawyer, legal reformer, and activist. These records illustrate the breadth and variety of McPhedran's work in the areas of constitutional reform, women's international and national rights, women's health, and violence against women and children. Included in the fonds are administrative records of a number of non-profit organizations and committees of which she was a founder, including the Women's Legal Education Action Fund, the Gerstein Centre, the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence against Women and Children, and the Ad Hoc Committee of Canadian Women on the Constitution. Other records in this fonds, including subject files, correspondence and conference materials, document McPhedran's academic, research and writing work and her contracted work for women's health organizations.

Fonds consists of material that documents Pitman’s career as a politician, educator, writer and social activist. It includes personal and professional correspondence, notes and speech materials, newspaper clippings and other material related to his years spent as a Member of Provincial Parliament and as a Member of Parliament as well as his unsuccessful leadership campaign for the federal New Democratic Party in 1971. It also includes his Toronto Star writing files, numerous files pertaining to his education activities both at the provincial and federal levels with a special emphasis on arts education, records that document his tenure as President of Ryerson Polytechnic University, his activities as chairman of Project Ploughshares, his work with the Arts Education Institute of Ontario, as well as an extensive collection of notes, drafts and final copies of speeches delivered by Pitman to a variety of organizations including Elderhostel. The fonds includes correspondence, notes, interview notes, drafts and research material related to his books on Louis Applebaum, Elmer Iseler, the lives of Harry Freedman and Mary Morrison, and Victor Feldbrill, as well as notes and drafts of his as yet unpublished book, "Breakthrough: A Canada For The Twenty-First Century."

The fonds includes correspondence, diaries, calendars, files related to her production company, Womynly Way, and files related to her work as business manager of This Magazine and Canadian Woman Studies. Recordings include performances from the Women's Music Festival, Berkeley World Music Festival, and the Michigan Women's Music Festival.

The collection includes ephemera such as announcements of conferences, seminars, and exhibits; newsletters from various university offices and colleges; public reports; guides and handbooks; press releases; bulletins; posters; etc. The collection is arranged alphabetically by the name of the office which created the ephemera.
