Records include subject files pertaining to the City of Toronto Council, the City of Toronto Planning Board, Toronto municipal elections, transportation and the waterfront, as well as meeting minutes, periodicals, books, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, a map and directory, reports, papers and briefs.

The fonds consist of material that documents Rayfield's career as a Professor of Anthropology and, to a lesser extent, her personal life. Briefs and submissions deal with a wide range of topics that include fluorination of water, discrimination against women, teaching of French, family law reform, women and the Canadian constitution, early learning and child care, abortion and the Criminal Code, pornography, reproductive technologies, human rights, gun control, affordable housing, and health care.

The fonds consists of correspondence, memoranda and notes, by James Morrison and others, concerning the activities of the UFO and the UFCC. There is also an unsigned biographical sketch of Morrison.

The fonds consists of York University-related records of John Joseph Frederick Bruckmann including curriculum planning (minutes of the Curriculum Committee, reading lists, correspondence), the Council of the Faculty of Arts and Science (1962-1965), the Residential College Committee (minutes - 1962), the Committee on Research (1962) and the Senate (1961-1965). In addition, there is material of a general nature relating to early appointments at the University, staff directories and announcements of social events.

The fonds consists of raw material collected for the York-Timmins Project conducted by a team of researchers led by Gold in 1981 and represent some 8000 hours of field work. Other team members included James DiGiacomo, Kathy Pirie, Peter Vasiliadis, Tanya Basok, A. Stewart, Lawrence Lam, and Michael Korovikin.

Original interviews were recorded although many were done without recording, notes only being taken. The tapes were not kept in order to honour promises made to the interviewees, however, detailed transcripts and edited transcripts of all tapes and notes were made and these include consistent marking of pauses, inflection and mood. Individuals from the following cultural and ethnic groups were interviewed: "pioneers" of the Porcupine Camp (Timmins and South Porcupine area); organizers of the Workers Cooperative (Ukrainian, Finnish, and British settlers); French-Canadian settlers and parish leaders; English mine settlers (both mine workers and managers); Italian settlers and community leaders; Chinese settlers and community leaders; Jewish settlers and community leaders; miscellaneous others.

In addition, there are photocopies and typed excerpts of articles from the 'Porcupine advance,' [newspaper] dealing with ethnic relations in the region, 1912-1950, and photocopies and typescripts of articles and essays dealing with ethnic communities in Timmins. There is also a photocopy of a mine company payroll for the year 1941.

The fonds consists of interviews, selected newspaper clippings pertaining to the Fine Arts Building and its architect, reports, and surveys documenting a controversial study by Dr. Wekerle and her students on their move into the new Fine Arts Building at York University in 1973-1974.

For Tawney there are notes on a book about the economic thinker Henry George (which was apparently never written), chapters in typescript and handwritten for 'Equality,' and page proofs for 'Twentieth Century socialism,' as well as articles and reviews (in typescript and handwritten and published) for 'The highwayman,' (publication of the Workers' Educational Association), correspondence with colleagues in adult education and history, and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings with some handwritten correspondence, relating to the Tawney family in England and India. For the Workers' Educational Association there are galleys of articles, and related correspondence for 'The highwayman'. There is also material of a general nature, including reports, correspondence and conference proceedings, and articles related to the education of trade unionists.

The fonds consists of typescript, corrected drafts of articles, subscriber correspondence, and correspondence with the Ontario Arts Council and the Ontario Ombudsman's Office concerning a dispute that the editor of Onion, Stephen Mezei, had with the Arts Council (1977-1979).

The collection consists of materials related to Joyce Wieland acquired from various sources. Records include a small amount of correspondence; obituary notices and program for the Wieland funeral; press clippings and articles on the work of Joyce Wieland; photographs of Wieland, her friends and family; personal ephemera relating to Wieland; photographs taken at a drawing workshop led by Wieland in St. Michael's, Newfoundland; records and scripts pertaining to Wieland's film "The Far Shore" as well as notes by Wieland about the film; photographs used in the Jane Lind biography of Wieland; small works of art done by Wieland such as sketches, drawings and paintings.

Fonds consists of records created or accumulated by Rishma Dunlop pertaining to her personal life, her work as a university professor, and her literary career. It includes juvenilia, early academic works, and drafts of published and unpublished works (poems, essays, speeches, a novel, and an unpublished memoir). The fonds also includes the edited drafts of submissions and correspondence related to Dunlop’s five published collections of poetry; notes, research and drafts relating to other poems, published and unpublished; personal and professional correspondence; a personal journal; files regarding literary and teaching activities, including grant applications; drafts pertaining to her work as an editor; photographs; and literary ephemera such as posters, programmes, and flyers. The fonds also includes teaching evaluations filled out by Dunlop’s students at York University, as well as some written work and details of final project submissions by graduate students whose work was supervised by Dunlop.

Fonds consists of records documenting Beverley Salmon's work as an activist and as a North York and Metro Toronto Councillor. Records primarily pertain to subjects including race relations, the Toronto Transit Commission, the building of a subway to York University, and her involvement with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. The collection consists of the Ontario Folklore Archives which includes student essays and cassettes of folklore in Canada. Subjects discussed in the student essays include folk medicine, folklore from regions in Ontario and Canada (Oshawa, Ontario, Feversham, Ontario, Newfoundland), from cultural groups (Jews, Ukrainians, French Canadians), musical folklore, social folklore (children’s jokes, urban graffiti), and related topics. In addition, there are recordings on audio cassettes and audio reels of Scottish folk songs and customs, old-time fiddling, songs of the Scottish regiment and of other subjects.

Fonds consists of Drummond's course notes as a student in Canadian political science including his doctoral thesis; various draft papers and chapter contributions, especially his work on several editions of The Government and Politics of Ontario; records pertaining to Drummond's work on the Task Force on Liberal Arts Education; documentation regarding a conference and festshrift honouring the first Chair of the Department of Political Science Douglas Verney, including proposed papers (the festshrift was not completed); records documenting Drummond's YUFA activities, particularly with regard to retirement and pension issues; conference papers and lecture notes; correspondence pertaining to his work and achievements at York University; and photographs of Drummond taken at York University events. It also includes copies of Drummond's poetic writings pertaining to Robert Burns' dinners, odes to York faculty and staff, and essays and memorabilia from his days as an undergraduate student at York.

The fonds consists of material which documents Williamson's career as a fine arts bibliographer, librarian and instructor along with associated professional and scholarly activities. It includes correspondence and reports prepared for collection acquisitions (e.g. Germain Bazin library, archives and postcard collection), other library initiatives, interactions with various library departments, and departments in the Faculty of Fine Arts including visual arts, dance, and theatre; material related to her work on YUFA, PLAYU (Professional Librarians Association of York University), the Librarians' Group, and other York University and library committees; exhibition catalogues, monographs, articles and conference presentations authored by Williamson; and research materials, grant files and teaching files.
The fonds also includes a collection of letters and photographs that Williamson sent home during her stay at various summer camps between 1940 and 1951, material related to the Moore Park Ratepayers' Association, and a collection that Williamson acquired consisting of 63 photocopied letters from literary and artistic figures in Canada such as Susanna Moodie and George Munro Grant, addressed to Louisa Murray (1818-1894), literary critic and writer on feminist issues.

The fonds documents Paul James Dwyer's activities as a dancer, choreographer, and writer. Records consist mainly of correspondence and subject files relating to various dance companies such as Dance Oremus Danse and the Isadora Duncan School of Modern Dance. There is some documentation on grant applications. Also included are dance programmes, Dwyer's published articles and photographs of colleagues such as Jeanne Bresciani, Lori Belliveau, Nadia Chilkovsky, and Anita Zhan. There are video and audio recordings of interviews and dance performances. Accession 2007-059 includes correspondence with Madeleine Lytton regarding her dance career in the tradition of Isadora Duncan, correspondence and other documentation regarding the collections of books, photographs, and other material pertaining to Duncan owned by Leo and Lillian Loewenthal and Howard Holtzman, Ella Bobrow's book on Irina Odoevtseva, a program for the memorial dance performance for Hortense Kooluris, and promotional material for a wide variety of performers involved in dance, opera, and baroque music.
