The accession consists of 19 boxes of records. 8 series were established: Subject Files: Correspondence & Clippings, Manuscripts, Audio Tapes, Slides, Videos, Photographs and Framed Material, Posters-Paintings-Scrapbooks, Cartographic Materials.

The first two series, Subject Files and Manuscripts were arranged in file folders entitled by Prof. Pollock. The original order was kept and the documents were put into acid neutral file folders and titles were transcribed verbatim. Manuscripts include Pollock's novel Gabriel, plays, poems and the unpublished After the funferal and Soviet journal.

Audio tapes of interviews conducted by Prof. Pollock were not in any particular order. An effort was made to put the related ones together and the titles assigned by Harry J. Pollock were maintained. There are also audio tapes of music for his plays

Slides consist of those that Prof. Pollock used in the plays Night Boat from Dublin and Giacomo de Trieste, these were removed from the boxes and slide carousels and placed in archival slide sheaths. They are listed by play tittle in the original sequence in which they were shown. Duplicate and additional slides are listed according to subject. Titles given by Harry J. Pollock were kept.
The three videocassettes include one entitled Portrait of the artist-is there one who understands me? and two of Japan.

Charles Bothwell Pyper fonds

The fonds consists of newspaper clippings of Charles Bothwell Pyper's articles in the Telegram together with telegraphic messages that served as 'hard copy' for his articles from foreign posts; correspondence, and notes; and newspaper clippings from several other newspapers. It includes a typescript of 'Chamberlain and his critics,' as well as earlier drafts, typescripts, some with corrections, of a book on Winston Churchill, and drafts of unpublished dramatic productions by Pyper. The vast majority of the fonds consists of newspaper clippings, notes and related material concerning Pyper's journalism, arranged alphabetically by subject. Some of the subjects included in the fonds are: Clement Attlee, Lord Beaverbrook, the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, Winston Churchill, Joseph E. Davies, Anthony Eden, the League of Nations, Palestine in the post-war years, the Spanish Civil War, the Suez Crisis, the United Nations, and World War II.

Lucas provides an accompanying narrative to many of the drawings, giving a context for the works and an account of their evolution between 1971 and 1979. The initial sketchbook pages are also included, portraying intimate personal images which she likens to 'finding the achievement of my own voice'.

The correspondence includes: correspondence with artists, galleries and other arts groups in Canada and overseas, dealing with CEAC exhibitions, CEAC-sponsored travelling shows, and communications concerning gallery events. There is also material dealing with granting agencies, including the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council. Also included is correspondence relating to the OCA and CC decisions to suspend funding to CEAC, letters of reaction from CEAC members and supporters. The fonds also has grant proposals and covering documentation, and other material. The fonds also contains various documents written by members of the collective defining the 'new ideology' which would usurp the cultural and political elites, define a post-modern aesthetic. Series consists of approximately 466, 500 photographic prints created or accumulated by staff at the Toronto Telegram. The largest volume of prints are under the subjects "United States" (ca. 7.2 metres of prints), "Ships) (ca. 5 metres), "England" (ca. 4 metres) and "Canada" (ca. 3.6 metres). Certain subjects have been arranged outside the general subject organization of the prints such as "Personalities" (15 metres); "Personalities/politicians" (ca. 4 metres); "Armed forces personnel" (ca. 8 metres) largely of the World War II era, provably used in reports of missing/wounded/killed in action. As well, there are photographs of groups of servicemen, again largely World War II era. Finally, there is a group of photographs of personalities who were associated with the Toronto Telegram, predominantly from the period after Bassett bought the newspaper (post 1952). The series also includes many photographic images purchased from wire services for the purposes of illustrating national and international stories.
