The fonds consists of records pertaining to the activities of Goldfarb Consultants and include research reports, printouts, questionnaires and administrative files. They can be used in conjunction with each other: the responses in the questionnaires are analysed in the research reports; the printouts are the raw data results of the questionnaires; and the administrative files provide additional documentation related to a particular research topic. With a few exceptions the projects included in the fonds were undertaken for federal or provincial political parties or governments.

Davies, Anthony Eden, the League of Nations, Palestine in the post-war years, the Spanish Civil War, the Suez Crisis, the United Nations, and World War II.

Fonds consists of Helen Lucas' correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, The Diary Series (1971-1978), and Relationship Drawings (1978-1981) (both of which include 246 charcoal drawings, 40 sketches, 34 drawings, 5 etchings, 47 lithographs, 3 framed serigraphs, 1 sketchbook, and 1 pastel on paper); preliminary drawings for Angelica (Toronto: Kakabeka Publishing Co.,1973) and Genesis; twelve original collage drawings for the book co-authored by Helen Lucas and Margaret Laurence entitled The Christmas Birthday Story (1981) complemented with letters from Laurence while they were collaborating on the book; original prints (1970s); a sketchbook (1971); and Drawing Dedicated to my Daughter. Lucas provides an accompanying narrative to many of the drawings, giving a context for the works and an account of their evolution between 1971 and 1979. The initial sketchbook pages are also included, portraying intimate personal images which she likens to 'finding the achievement of my own voice'.

Fonds consists of Wordswrights Canada files including correspondence, promotional material, newsletters and client files related to Ioannou's company; publishing files consisting of material related to Ioannnou's own writing and includes galleys of collections of her poetry and readings files consisting of correspondence, notes and drafts of talks presented by Ioannou on the the teaching of poetry to various groups and organizations.

File consists of one issue that includes the proclamation by the governor of the colony of Pennsylvania announcing a treaty of peace with the Delaware Shawnee Indian Confederacy and commanding a cessation of hostilities.

The fonds documents Irving Allan Paisley's political activities in North York, Ontario, and Metropolitan Toronto for the period 1951-1984. Included are correspondence, reports, briefs, newspaper clippings, financial statements and background material relating to municipal politics, including the North York Council and Board of Control (elections, Environmental Control Committee, Parks and Recreation, Works) and city departments (Board of Education, Department of Health, Planning Department, Works Department) (1962-1972), the York-Finch General Hospital, and several North York Ratepayers' Associations (Windfield Area, Hillcrest Village, Greenwin Gardens, Crestview) (1962-1972). Also included is material from the Metropolitan Toronto Planning Board and material related to the official plans of both Metro and North York (1970-1972), the Toronto Transit Commission and plans to build the Spadina Subway route (1962-1972), and several government consultants reports on development issues in the North York area (1970-1972), records relating to the Ontario Department of Municipal Affairs Committee on Golf Course Assessment and Taxation (1970-1972), and a proposed development and recreational facility at Downsview (Ont.) airbase (1955-1968). The fonds also includes general subject files largely related to the political life of North York and Metropolitan Toronto and includes correspondence, reports, newspaper clippings and background material relating to the Canadian National Exhibition Board of Directors (1979-1980), a proposal to build a domed stadium on the site of the Downsview (Ont.) Air Force Base (1962-1984), Indo-Chinese refugees (1979-1980), the North Pickering Development Corporation, including meetings of the Board of Directors and several committees (1976-1979), the North York Planning Department and Public Works Department (1979-1980), the proposed Spadina Expressway, and the Toronto Transit Commission. Maps of zoning areas in North York, land use, parks and recreation areas, roads, and maps related to Downsview Airforce Base are also part of the fonds.

The accession consists of 19 boxes of records. 8 series were established: Subject Files: Correspondence & Clippings, Manuscripts, Audio Tapes, Slides, Videos, Photographs and Framed Material, Posters-Paintings-Scrapbooks, Cartographic Materials.

The first two series, Subject Files and Manuscripts were arranged in file folders entitled by Prof. Pollock. The original order was kept and the documents were put into acid neutral file folders and titles were transcribed verbatim. Manuscripts include Pollock's novel Gabriel, plays, poems and the unpublished After the funferal and Soviet journal.

Audio tapes of interviews conducted by Prof. Pollock were not in any particular order. An effort was made to put the related ones together and the titles assigned by Harry J. Pollock were maintained. There are also audio tapes of music for his plays

Slides consist of those that Prof. Pollock used in the plays Night Boat from Dublin and Giacomo de Trieste, these were removed from the boxes and slide carousels and placed in archival slide sheaths. They are listed by play tittle in the original sequence in which they were shown. Duplicate and additional slides are listed according to subject. Titles given by Harry J. Pollock were kept.
The three videocassettes include one entitled Portrait of the artist-is there one who understands me? and two of Japan.

The collection documents one method used by the university to assess and evaluate what is learned by its students, and what is expected by its faculty. Because the results of these examinations are entered into the student transcript, this collection also serves to document one standard by which the academic performance of students is measured. The collection consists of hard copies of some examinations that have been given at York. The collection is extensive though incomplete. This collection does not include Glendon College or Law Library examinations.

File consists of a handwritten letter written from a brother and sister to their father in Kent, England, describing their decision to leave Hamilton, Upper Canada, due to unrest in the colony and to escape British tyranny, and to move to Rochester in the state of New York.

Series consists of original art work by Joyce Wieland including sketches, three-dimensional pieces, drafts of visual ideas, notebooks, and prints of finished pieces. There are photocopies of sketches found in other series included here, as well as some photographs used by Wieland for her artwork.

This collection describes courses and stipulates requirements for attaining academic qualifications. The calendar collection documents admission requirements, academic expectations, and standards for the completion of degree requirements. The collection consists of course calendars, mini-calendars and handbooks issued by faculties and departments. The collection is extensive though incomplete.

The fonds consists of Robert Freeman's records pertaining to his involvement in student affairs at York University.

The fonds consists of correspondence, notes and notebooks, index cards as well as a large volume of photocopied articles used by Otto Friedman in his teaching, research and writing activity. These include notes taken during his own education in England. In addition, there are typed lecture notes for courses he taught at York, as well as typescripts of articles and lectures by Friedman, and a typescript draft of his 'Masaryk's social philosophy and critique of Marxism,'. There are also course reading lists, some student materials (class lists, including some with student grades, student essays, and correspondence) and some correspondence and printed materials relating to York University, including calendars and handbooks. There is some material dating from Friedman's time as a management consultant in London, England, including studies of management styles in British firms. The posters are reproductions of paintings by masters (Picasso, Utrillo, etc.), that appear to have hung in his office.

Item is a handwritten letter from the Rev. John Stuart in Kingston, Upper Canada to his son James Stuart, personal secretary to Sir Robert Milnes, Lieutenant Govern of Lower Canada, regarding John's daughter Mary, who travelled to Montreal until James could deliver her to Elizabeth Mountain, the wife of Bishop Jacob Mountain in Quebec City. John Stuart discusses the affairs of his other children and his daughter-in-law, Mary Brooks, who was the daughter of the future governor of Massachusetts. The letter offers comments on family relationships and the status of women in the early nineteenth century.
