The fonds documents Terence William Barker’s activities as minister in the Jehovah Church. These records include material related to the Assemblies of the Jehovah's Witnesses (1961-1972); correspondence, reports and newspaper clippings concerning the issue of blood transfusions; the disassociation of Barker from the Witnesses; and records of his ministry with 'Watchtower' magazine. There is also material on the Process Church of the Final Judgement, which consists of correspondence between Barker and other members, records of the Toronto chapter steering committee, contact list of Ontario members and followers, copies of articles for publication in their journal, and a typewritten copy of an unpublished article by Barker, 'Is the Process Church of the Final Judgement Christian? A possible approach' [1971?]. Included in the fonds are speeches delivered while he was engaged in the Jehovah Witness program and talks on religious topics, copies of the 'Yearbook of the Jehovah's Witnesses,' (1945-1976); several editions of 'New World translation of the Holy Scriptures,' (1955-1970), several Witness tracts, incomplete runs of 'Awake,' (1949-1984) including bound volumes (1961-1972), 'Informant,' (1949-1954), 'Kingdom ministry,' (1957-1972), and 'The watchtower,' (1936-1984, incomplete run) and bound copies (1961-1972 - complete runs). In addition, there are reports of the Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses (1946-1969), as well as song books, pamphlets and related material. For the Process Church of the Final Judgement, there are copies of 'Foundation,' and pamphlets including 'The Processeans,' [newsletter] (1972-1974). Also included is a photocopied (corrected in hand) typewritten manuscript by Barker of 'The time of the end: on the trail of the Final Age: Victorian to Aquarian' (1971-1973) and a photocopied, typewritten manuscript of Barker's 'The king of the North and the king of the South: apocalypticism and international politics' (1972-1975), both of which were unpublished.

The show featured Canadian grandmothers from various ethnic, cultural and vocational backgrounds.

The fonds consists of a taped interview conducted by Mr. John Hardy (of the York University Archives) with John Conway together with transcriptions of the interview and some subsequent correspondence between the two (1975). In addition, there are copies of correspondence between Conway and the editor of the Globe and Mail concerning an article in the paper and a copy of a 'Report to the Board of Governors on the college system at York University,' (May 1970) by Conway. Fonds consists of records created and maintained by Alexander Israel Wittenberg, pertaining to his career as a mathematician, university professor and researcher of mathematical education, mathematical philosophy and general educational policies. The fonds includes Wittenberg’s correspondence with leading scientists, mathematicians and education specialists from across Europe and North America, reflecting his involvement with research pertaining to these issues, as well as to various other initiatives, debates and policy discussions. Other series in the fonds contain records relating to the academic courses that Wittenberg developed and taught and his involvement with the governance of York University during his tenure as a faculty member and which attest to his vision regarding the University’s future pedagogical direction; records from his time as a student in Zurich; most of his scholarly output and public engagements since the late 1940s and until his death in 1965; and some sound recordings containing radio broadcasts made by Wittenberg. The fonds also contains several personal records of both Wittenberg and his close family members, as well as photographs and newspaper clippings.

Upon his death, Wittenberg left behind him several unfinished projects. Amongst these are two manuscripts, the first, titled “Education: the unfulfilled promise,” is based on a series of lectures that he broadcasted on CBC radio during March and April 1965. The second manuscript, “Number – a case study in knowledge,” is based on an interdisciplinary mathematical-philosophical course that Wittenberg delivered to first- and second-year students at York University. Also included in the collection are initial notes and drafts relating to two other projects that Wittenberg was planning: a biography of Albert Einstein whom he perceived as a symbol for the ability to successfully combine scientific excellence with strong and unbending moral values, and a university-level textbook on vector algebra.

The fonds mainly documents Ernesto Vinci's career as a singer and his activities as a voice teacher at the Halifax Ladies College and Conservatory of Music, the University of Toronto, and at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Records found from 1999 onwards are of the more personal variety and include personal and family correspondence between Vinci and his wife, and Vinci and his parents and parents-in-law, and other relatives during the 1930s as they tried to escape Germany. There is some correspondence regarding Vinci's efforts to sponsor his sister-in-law and niece after the Second World War.

Fonds consists of correspondence, contracts, newspaper articles, and musical arrangements created or accumulated by Jack Kane between 1950 and his death in 1961, with some material added or reproduced in subsequent years. The letters focus on his relationship with his fans across Canada and in the United States, particularly during the late 1950s and early 1960s while Kane was appearing on television. The correspondence deals with the popular reaction to Kane's music (including differences in generational tastes between classical and jazz music) and the aspirations of amateur song writers, performers and often their parents seeking advice on getting into show business; much of it was answered in sometimes lengthy letters that include Kane's insights on composing and his decision to stay in Canada after achieving success in New York. One file contains promotional material and contracts with the CBC for "Music makers '58" and "Music '60"; the contracts list the musicians who played with Kane, such as Moe Kaufman, Ellis McClintock, Murray Ginsberg, and John and Joe Niosi. Photographs include promotional portraits and images of Kane with Steve Lawrence and Duke Ellington. This graphic material is considerably supplemented by a photocopied album of newspaper clippings that trace Kane's career on radio and television from 1950 to 1961, as well as national coverage of his death. Three audio discs capture two of Kane's original compositions in 1950 and 1951, as well as his first and last recordings with commercial labels. The bulk of the fonds consists of Kane's musical arrangements with manuscript annotations, arranged by the title of the score and usually attributed to the television show on which it was performed.

Subject file topics include the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Advocates' Society, Amnesty International, conferences, Law Reform Commission, Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, the Charter of Rights Education Fund, the Criminal Lawyers' Association, the Writers' Union of Canada, Ruby's newspaper columns and letters to the editor, and his role as book review editor for the Criminal Law Quarterly. Fonds consists of material that documents Feldbrill's personal and professional life and includes correspondence from friends, family and colleagues, including letters from Murray Adaskin, Sir Ernest MacMillan, Harry Somers, John Weinzweig and others, fan mail, programmes, pamphlets, newspaper and magazine articles related to his work as a violinist and/or conductor, contracts and biographical material. In addition, it includes a series of scrapbooks maintained by Feldbrill that documents his professional career from 1940 to the present day. There is considerable correspondence between Feldbrill and his wife Zelda Mann that documents their courtship, the couple's life together, and descriptions of Feldbrill's travels. There is a substantial amount of material related to his performances with the Toronto and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestras and to the years he spent working and teaching in Japan.

Fonds consists of records accumulated and created by David Orin Charles pertaining to his involvement in the production of theatre, film and television in Canada and the United States from 1959 to 2011. The records in this fonds document Charles's early work in theatre as an actor, set designer and lighting director, as well as later work as on-set dresser, set decorator, set designer and prop master for films, television and television commercials. These records are primarily scripts and related production materials that were collected or created by Charles, which include photographs, drawings, architectural drawings, crew and cast lists, storyboards, call sheets, research materials, shooting schedules, budget documents, and correspondence.

The research files span the activities of Finnish and Finnish-Canadian organizations across the political spectrum, such as the Finnish Organization of Canada (left wing), and Loyal Finns in Canada (right wing). Records include oral history interviews (audio cassettes and transcripts), research notes, clippings, a significant and extensive number of photograph and letter collections passed down through generations of Finnish Canadians, diaries, correspondence, publication drafts, academic and professorial notes, microfilm of Finnish language newspapers published in Canada and archival records, financial records of Finnish-Canadian organizations such as newspapers and post-World War II relief funding bodies, scrapbooks, photocopies of rare and unusual documents such as two volumes of a Soviet register of Finnish War Crimes, a list of persons found in the mass grave at Karhumaki, and Soviet lists of North American Finns who journeyed to Karelia to help build a socialist utopia there, academic and professorial files, publicity files, files pertaining to her work with the School of Women's Studies, and her own papers as a university student. The fonds also includes letters written by Lindstrom as a newly-arrived teenaged immigrant to Canada to her best friend in Finland; many of these letters were published in Finnish with English translation in 'Letters from an immigrant teenager' in 2012.

The fonds also includes a series of audio recordings of interviews conducted by Pittman for "Saturday Night at the Movies" with film directors including Bernardo Bertolucci, Robert Altman, and Norman McLaren, among others.

Fonds consists of material which documents Leckie's career as a writer and director and includes personal and professional correspondence, notes, drafts and outlines of scripts, production files, research files, press clippings, photographs and publicity material of many of the productions that he worked on including related audiovisual material.

The fonds consists of Margaret Norquay's records pertaining to her graduate studies, her work with the Open College project, and to her community involvement with several committees and organizations, as well as personal files related to her family. The fonds is arranged in the following series:

Collection consists of publications, policy statements, research reports, conference and educational documents, and newsletters accumulated by Professor Linda Briskin in the course of her research on women and equity in organized labour in Canada. The documents were published by or about local, provincial, and national organizations, including the Canadian Labour Congress, provincial federations of labour, Canadian and United Auto Workers, Canadian Air Line Employees' Association, Canada Employment Immigration Union, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, the Committee for Cleaners' Rights, International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Metro Labour Council, Union of Provincial Government Employees, Canadian Union of Public Employees, Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation, Public Service Alliance of Canada, United Steelworkers of Canada, Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, and the Windsor Hospital Clerical Workers Union of Canada. The collection deals with equity in collective bargaining units, including issues of sisterhood and solidarity, education, human rights, anti-racism, aboriginal issues, affirmative action, violence against women, and the impact of technological change.

Fonds consists of Zdenka Volavka records accumulated and created over the course of her professorial career. The majority of files consist of annotated photocopied material obtained through interlibrary loans (the card catalogue indexing this material was prepared by Zdenka's long-time assistant, the late Charlotte Carrol). Files also contain material related to her involvement at York University and her research on the kingship and royal ritual in Ngoyo, Africa.

Fonds consists of project files created by William Wicken through his work as researcher and expert witness in projects and legal cases involving Mi'kmaq treaties, and their rights to hunt, fish, and trade. The files include correspondence with counsel for the Crown and the defense, reports on Mi'kmaq society and land treaties based on original research using archival and published documents, legal and historical opinions on the interpretion of treaties and unexhausted rights under section 35 of the Canadian Constitution, and reproductions of documents used in provincial and appeal courts in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Some files deal with issues of governance, and negotiations with the federal departments of Indian and Northern Affairs, and Fisheries and Oceans. Other files contain information on aboriginal title research involving the Mi'kmaq of Gaspe and Prince Edward Island. The fonds also includes Wicken's research notebooks from 1994 to 2002, and his daily appointment books from 1993 to 2007. The fonds offers considerable information on research into aboriginal land titles in Atlantic Canada and Quebec, and the major role played by professional historians in addressing issues of legal rights and cultural identities.

Fonds consists of records created during Harry Boyle's career as a broadcaster, including: sound recordings of programmes, interviews, and speeches; transcripts of speeches (1968-1973) delivered while working for the CBC and the CRTC; personal and administrative files while chairman of the CRTC and during his tenure at the Banff School of Fine Arts. There are files related to the writing and publishing his books, and articles and stories published during his years as a journalist with the Toronto Telegram. Also included are items from Boyle's library about communications, broadcasting, and advertising. The records accessioned following his death in 2005 also include: files regarding Boyle's involvement with the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour and the Leacock memorial dinner; articles by or about Boyle; scripts for the CBC's Farm Department and articles on Canadian agriculture; manuscripts for "Memories of a Catholic boyhood" and "Dreams stronger than death; correspondence and subject files for the Boyle family, his career as a writer and broadcaster, the work of leading Canadian personalities; honours and awards; research and writing on a wide variety of topics; and internal memoranda from the CBC.

Fonds consists of records that document Principe’s activities as the editor of the Italian Canadian newspaper Forze Nuove, as a political activist and a scholar. The fonds has been arranged into eight series.

Fonds consists of textual materials, published articles, blog posts, correspondence, genealogical records, photographic material and personal items created or accumulated by Lynn Gehl in the process of her work as an academic, scholar and community activist.

Fonds consists of research notes, newspaper clippings, reports, publications, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to Portuguese emigration and the Portuguese experience in Canada compiled by Professor Higgs in connection with his scholarly work and teaching on Portuguese history and his collaborative work with Grace Anderson.

The fonds consists of material which documents Williamson's career as a fine arts bibliographer, librarian and instructor along with associated professional and scholarly activities. It includes correspondence and reports prepared for collection acquisitions (e.g. Germain Bazin library, archives and postcard collection), other library initiatives, interactions with various library departments, and departments in the Faculty of Fine Arts including visual arts, dance, and theatre; material related to her work on YUFA, PLAYU (Professional Librarians Association of York University), the Librarians' Group, and other York University and library committees; exhibition catalogues, monographs, articles and conference presentations authored by Williamson; and research materials, grant files and teaching files.
The fonds also includes a collection of letters and photographs that Williamson sent home during her stay at various summer camps between 1940 and 1951, material related to the Moore Park Ratepayers' Association, and a collection that Williamson acquired consisting of 63 photocopied letters from literary and artistic figures in Canada such as Susanna Moodie and George Munro Grant, addressed to Louisa Murray (1818-1894), literary critic and writer on feminist issues.

Fonds consists of videotaped performances of a wide variety of folk musicians at the Mariposa Folk Festival and other venues for broadcast on Rogers' "Highway 10" cable television show, as well as some videocassettes provided by the Mariposa Folk Festival for promotional purposes

Fonds consists of material that documents Hoffert's career as a composer, musician, author and arts administrator and includes musical scores from the 1950s to the 1990s, audio-visual recordings, administrative files, photographs, clipping and other memorabilia, copies of awards, diaries, e-mail correspondence, drafts of his books and other material.
